Role Overview:
The Patient Care Liaison is responsible for managing patient valuables and personal items, ensuring that all patient inquiries are addressed promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate documentation of all patient belongings and valuables entrusted to us for safekeeping.
- Facilitate the return of all items to the patient or their authorized representative.
- Organize items in accordance with the current inventory for reference.
- Ensure the timely return of all patient belongings and valuables upon discharge from our facility.
- Collaborate with Nursing Leadership and staff to uphold adherence to internal policies and implement best practices for identifying performance improvement opportunities.
- Welcome patients, families, and visitors with a friendly demeanor, actively listen to their requests, and provide assistance as needed.
- Handle phone inquiries and questions efficiently, triaging calls that require further assistance.
- Coordinate the mailing of patient valuables and belongings upon request, utilizing appropriate delivery services.
Qualifications:
Experience: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Experience in complaint resolution, customer service, and healthcare is preferred.
Education: A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
