Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Service Advisor to join our team at Southeastern Equipment Company. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quoting and Reporting: Accurately record, report, and follow standard procedures for quoting and billing.
  • Time Management: Effectively manage service, inspections, testing, and warranty-related tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Shop and Tool Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the service shop and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Service Scheduling: Understand and explain factory service and maintenance schedules to customers and technicians.
  • Performance Evaluation: Periodically evaluate the performance of the service department against company plans and goals.
  • Parts Management: Work closely with parts personnel to ensure proper procedures, records, and reports are in place for parts used in service.
  • Vehicle Management: Recommend the purchase of service vehicles, maintain the fleet, and ensure efficient use of vehicles in service work.
  • Administrative Duties: Prepare reports, estimates, and forecasts; maintain warranty records; and initiate campaigns to increase service department profit.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team of 3-5 service technicians, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Customer Communication: Complete paperwork related to billing and warranty, ensuring accurate and timely communication with customers.
Requirements
  • Experience: Service advisor or warranty administrator experience is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to use multiple software programs and toggle between windows is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to work with manufacturers, vendors, customers, and technicians.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to manage service operations, scheduling, logistics, and communications.
