The School for International Training is seeking a Launch Assistant to aid in the setup and execution of the IHP Climate Change program. This role involves providing on-the-ground support to the Launch Coordinator during a comprehensive program launch lasting approximately 10 days. The IHP Climate Change initiative aims to equip college students with the knowledge and skills to navigate global climate challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Preparation and Execution:
    Assist in the creation and distribution of essential program materials for students and staff. Participate actively in workshops, lectures, and site visits, providing logistical support as needed.
  2. Administrative and Logistical Assistance:
    Collaborate with the Launch Coordinator to manage vendor relationships, logistics, and meal arrangements for the program launch.
  3. Daily Program Management:
    Work closely with the Program Team, including the Program Director and Launch Coordinator, to ensure a high-quality educational experience for participants. Support students in their learning journey and keep them informed about daily activities and schedules.
  4. Additional Duties:
    Perform other responsibilities as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with experiential education and youth empowerment strategies.
  • Experience in international programs, event coordination, or youth engagement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with online project management tools.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
  • Experience working with remote teams is a plus.
