Role Summary:
Full-time Position – 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Department: UC Hand and Plastic Surgery

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming calls, address routine inquiries, and direct complex issues to the appropriate personnel. Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and promptly, maintaining organized patient records.
  • Coordinate patient appointments and diagnostic tests, ensuring seamless scheduling and follow-up for return visits.
  • Assist the medical team in preparing for patient consultations and managing post-visit documentation, including obtaining necessary consent and compliance forms.
  • Maintain electronic health records, ensuring all relevant information is organized and readily available prior to patient appointments.
  • Collect essential patient registration details, including co-payments and referral authorizations, to facilitate billing processes.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of customer service experience or completion of an accredited Administrative Assistant program within the last year is necessary.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or medical office setting is preferred.
