Role SummaryAs a Medical Secretary in the UC Hand and Plastic Surgery department, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming calls, addressing routine inquiries, and directing complex issues to the appropriate personnel. Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate patient appointments and diagnostic tests, ensuring seamless scheduling and follow-up.
- Assist the clinical team in preparing for patient visits and managing post-visit documentation, including obtaining necessary consent and HIPAA forms.
- Maintain and organize electronic patient records, ensuring all relevant information is readily available prior to appointments.
- Gather essential registration details from patients, including co-pays and referral authorizations for billing purposes.
- A collaborative and nurturing work environment focused on continuous learning.
