GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Facility Operations Supervisor functions under the general oversight of the Assistant Recreation Director. This position entails part-time hours throughout the year, not exceeding 29 hours weekly. The schedule may fluctuate based on seasonal demands and departmental programming.

Typical working hours are anticipated to be two weekdays from 4 PM to 10 PM, along with Saturdays for up to 8 hours, contingent on the season.

Key responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, routine maintenance of fitness equipment and minor repairs, as well as assisting with program setup and cleanup as necessary.

Additional tasks include organizing the fitness area, sanitizing machines, light cleaning duties, and supporting front desk personnel with customer service inquiries.

The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION /

CERTIFICATION:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous experience is advantageous, though not mandatory.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Familiarity with basic cardio and weight training machines
Capability to perform minor repairs and replace defective components.
Proficiency in computer usage and recreation software

Must exhibit excellent public relations and customer service skills
Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication abilities
Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
Ability to operate basic machinery
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Willingness to learn and adhere to instructions

WORKING CONDITIONS


This role is expected to serve the community by overseeing and maintaining the evening operations of the recreation facility and may necessitate working in adverse weather conditions.

The individual will assist with front desk operations and the upkeep of fitness equipment. Responsibilities will include lifting, transporting, and managing equipment and supplies. The position may require prolonged standing during shifts and may involve working irregular or extended hours to fulfill special requests or projects. Weekend and holiday hours may be necessary. The schedule may vary according to seasonal activities, with a maximum of 29 hours per week. This role may also involve engaging in physically demanding activities, both indoors and outdoors.
