Overview:

The Yard Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of personnel involved in the reception, storage, distribution, and upkeep of machinery, equipment, materials, and supplies within a fabrication storage facility or yard. This role includes managing shipments entering and leaving the yard while ensuring compliance with specified quantity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervises team members in the loading and unloading of materials, as well as the operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment, including forklifts.
  • Coordinates the dispatch of materials and equipment to various construction sites.
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Forklift Certification.
  • A minimum of three years of experience, or equivalent, in a structural steel yard environment.
  • Proficiency in using Tekla or a comparable MRP software.
  • Strong understanding of structural steel, including measurements, types, and sizes.
