Job Summary:

The Sous Chef is a key member of the culinary team, responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food production and leadership of the back-of-house team. This role supports the Executive Chef in completing projects and may temporarily assume the duties of the Chef in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee food quality and production, adhering to recipes, presentation standards, and food safety guidelines.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, following facility and chef's safe food handling guidelines.
  • Lead the kitchen staff in all aspects of food production, ensuring adherence to portion sizes, quality standards, and department rules.
  • Oversee financial efforts related to back-of-house costs and inventory.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Sous Chef, Executive Sous, or Chef de Cuisine.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of Outlook and MS Excel.
