Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join our team at Tradesmen International. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for obtaining orders or contracts for our services, educating contractors about our value proposition, and maintaining client relationships to increase the usage of our services and workforce.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Creates and grows sales by identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with clients.
  • Maintains and exceeds sales goals set by the company through effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Communicates client needs to the operations team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Generates sales leads and prospects for clients through cold calling, canvassing, and other sales techniques.
  • Makes direct sales calls and presentations to clients at their place of business to educate them about our services and benefits.
  • Registers new clients according to the business plan and educates them about the benefits and terms of doing business with Tradesmen International.
  • Collects monies owed Tradesmen International on a timely basis and establishes healthy payment patterns with new clients.
  • Attends trade-related association and networking events to build relationships and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Encourages additional sales by building strong relationships with clients and field employees.
  • Follows up with registered clients to build relationships, create initial orders, and keep clients actively using our services.
  • Builds ongoing relationships with client senior management, office personnel, and jobsite superintendents through regular visits and communication.
  • Conducts follow-up communication with clients after field employee dispatch to ensure client satisfaction and quality control.
  • Delivers periodic employee evaluations to clients and decides how to deal with client issues and complaints in a proactive and professional manner.
  • Encourages additional sales by managing and building strong field employee relationships.
  • Prepares field employees for assignments with clients and walks them on to first jobs or new clients.
  • Builds field employee relationships by calling working employees at the end of the first day, visiting jobsites at least weekly, and calling available employees to check on their status.
  • Is aware of field employee assignments and addresses issues in a proactive, professional manner.
  • Encourages additional sales by managing and transmitting information to support the sales process.
  • Maintains client sales files and attends required meetings, including one-on-one meetings with the general manager or sales manager.
  • Completes a sales activity report in the computer system weekly and presents a daily plan for the following week to the general manager.
  • Responds to work-related injuries for investigation and report completion.
  • Supports the recruitment process by encouraging employee referrals from top field employees and hands out referral program literature as appropriate.
  • Remains updated on and adheres to all procedures detailed in the field office procedures manual.
  • Participates in field and classroom training activities within specified timeframes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the general manager or sales manager.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with clients and field employees.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong desire to succeed in sales.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Familiarity with standard computer systems and CRM systems is helpful.
  • Experience cold calling, canvassing a territory, and generating new business leads is helpful.
  • Position requires a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
