Position Overview:
The Infrastructure Solutions Engineer is tasked with the configuration, installation, and enhancement of systems to effectively troubleshoot and sustain the hardware and software within the existing technological framework.

Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot fundamental issues and provide assistance in crafting suitable solutions to uphold the integrity of the platform, encompassing essential hardware and software infrastructure that supports the company's user base and application environments.
- Collaborate closely with fellow IT professionals, including Application, Architecture, and Database Engineers, to ensure seamless operation of all platform components.

Core Functions:
- Utilize extensive knowledge of both traditional and contemporary platforms to facilitate the efficient operation of the company's infrastructure, which includes both cloud-based and on-premises systems, in alignment with DevOps initiatives and overarching business and IT objectives.
- Construct hardware configurations, software installations, network specifications, and upgrades in accordance with business requirements and established organizational standards.
- Assist in resolving issues by adhering to user manuals or guides to enhance platforms in line with application objectives.

Collaboration and Support:
- Provide support in configuring and integrating DevOps tools (such as API Gateway, Terraform) with other services like authentication, caching, and logging to meet organizational needs.
- Work in tandem with the DevOps engineering and production teams to test new features and services, and support production rollouts.

Process Improvement:
- Refine and review templates and scripts to aid in the implementation and maintenance of automated fulfillment mechanisms, optimizing the delivery of key platform services.
- Create prioritized task lists for the team and identify dependencies on other teams that interact with the platform to ensure smooth operations.

Security and Compliance:
- Identify potential security threats and recommend corrective actions to adhere to stringent security compliance.
- Review and enhance draft security and resiliency policies, standards, and procedures that form the foundation for safeguarding the infrastructure and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Documentation and Coordination:
- Assist in producing high-level design documentation by taking ownership of specific sections and ensuring their precision.
- Compile data and preliminary research concerning user requests for new or modified systems or issue resolution.
- Coordinate platform modifications and customizations with vendors, ensuring clear communication of requirements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or alternatively, a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Preferred: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.

Experience and Skills:
- 2-4 years of experience in platform engineering and infrastructure components.
- Familiarity with automated interactions with physical infrastructure.
- Moderate understanding of managing and maintaining cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with monitoring and log management tools like Nagios, Splunk, and ELK.
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, and Terraform.
