Job Overview

Position Summary: The role of a Cybersecurity Engineer at Chelsoft Solutions Co involves overseeing system modifications, managing the lifecycle of security devices, and ensuring the integrity of the user VPN environment. This position requires a proactive approach to device monitoring, incident response, vendor collaboration, vulnerability assessments, and compliance adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage the security infrastructure, specifically focusing on Fortinet firewalls and Cisco VPN solutions.
  • Engage with various departments and external vendors, necessitating strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Participate in corporate change management processes, with a requirement to execute changes during off-hours as needed.
  • Troubleshoot incidents related to firewalls and VPNs, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and compliance risk evaluations on perimeter devices, developing and executing remediation strategies.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and contribute to annual projects as assigned.

Candidate Profile: Ideal candidates will possess a robust networking background, demonstrating a solid history of expertise in network security, particularly in VPN and firewall technologies. The selected individual will primarily focus on administering and supporting security solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills are essential.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Ensure network security diligence through the configuration, implementation, and support of enterprise assets, including firewalls and remote access solutions. Responsibilities encompass the ongoing management and support of security infrastructure in a large organization. Candidates must be adept at analyzing situations, assessing risks, and determining the necessary actions to fulfill requests or support the infrastructure. Exercising sound judgment in handling security-related matters is crucial, with sensitivity to both legal and personnel implications. The role requires maintaining enterprise device security within an acceptable risk level, providing routine maintenance to components and systems, and offering 24/7 support for security systems to safeguard the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of company information. Tasks may include system updates, log analysis, metric reporting, time tracking, change control documentation, and production records.

Required Skills: 3-5 years of experience with Cisco Firepower, Fortinet Fortigate, Cisco ASA, and general networking (Routing/Switching - CISCO).
