Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join our Water Team at Wade Trim. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in improving infrastructure in our City office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the planning, design, and construction of various wet weather projects, including combined/sanitary sewer overflow, collection system, pump station, water, stormwater, green infrastructure, hydrologic, and hydraulic models.
  • Lead evaluations of collection systems and open channels using hydrologic and hydraulic models.
  • Manage tasks and projects as needed.
  • Mentor and train staff in the use of hydrologic and hydraulic technical approaches and models.
  • Perform and manage hydrologic/hydraulic model calibrations based on monitoring data.
  • Develop flow monitoring programs and manage data analysis.
  • Perform GIS analysis to support hydrologic and hydraulic model development.
  • Prepare engineering calculations and supporting analysis of alternatives.
  • Prepare and evaluate wet weather control alternatives.
  • Develop and oversee the writing of technical reports and memorandums.
  • Assist with reviewing scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks.
  • Monitor task budget and progress.
  • Conduct on-site inspections as needed.
  • Prepare project status and other reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals.
  • Assist Project Managers.
  • Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings.
  • Maintain excellent client relations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Five to fifteen years of experience.
  • PE license.
  • Hydraulic Modeling and GIS experience.
  • Working knowledge of InfoWorks ICM and/or SWMM software.
  • Excellent technical writing, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with others.
