Job Description:


Position Overview:

The Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in the financial management and strategic planning of the organization. This position will be integral in assisting with the formulation and oversight of budgets, funds flow reconciliation, and forecasting for designated departments and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Director of Finance to develop and manage operational budgets.
- Provide exceptional customer service in financial management and policy implementation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in financial matters, offering training and support to departmental staff.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of financial operations across various programs while ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support ongoing and future initiatives.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an academic or similar environment.

Proficiency in complex financial modeling, record-keeping, and database management.

Strong skills in spreadsheet development and data analysis.

Excellent analytical and communication skills, with experience presenting to leadership.

Advanced computing skills, particularly in Excel and financial software.

Familiarity with financial reporting, including profit and loss statements.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization and flexibility.

Collaborative approach with a focus on building strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Initiative to work independently as well as part of a team.
