Overview
GILBANE is looking to onboard a Junior Financial Analyst to enhance our team in Providence, RI.

Are you seeking a fulfilling opportunity that offers significant career advancement? Gilbane is in search of a Project Financial Analyst I who will collaborate with our on-site project teams and assist with the financial management of our projects.

If you desire a practical accounting role, this position is worth considering. As a member of the Business Unit Accounting team, you will be responsible for maintaining journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting the accounting team in compliance and production tasks.

This position will primarily be office-based, with occasional travel to project sites for meetings with project teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities
As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will:
  • Assist with payment applications
  • Track and review receivables
  • Review and process accounts payable
  • Help ensure overall compliance with accounting policies and procedures
  • Provide accounting support for on-site project management teams
  • Assist with compliance tasks
  • Support payroll functions, including adjustments and closings
Qualifications
Experience/Education
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
0-2 years of experience in the construction sector
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Salary will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

For Rhode Island, this ranges from $51,900.00-$71,400.00 plus benefits and retirement programs.
Gilbane offers a comprehensive total compensation package that includes competitive health and welfare benefits along with a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
