Financial Analyst

Office of Information Technology

The Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Finance within the Office of Information Technology and will play a crucial role in the creation and oversight of financial strategies, including budgets, fund allocation, and forecasting for designated departments and programs. This position emphasizes exceptional customer service in financial stewardship, operational budget development, and the implementation of policy changes as they arise.

The Financial Analyst will act as the subject matter expert (SME) for OIT's financial operations and will provide support in financial training initiatives within the department. The role necessitates a thorough understanding of the financial capabilities of each program while maintaining a comprehensive view of OIT's overall financial landscape.

  • Management of the annual budget and financial projections
  • Ensuring financial compliance and effective management
  • Support for new initiatives and business development
  • General administrative duties with a focus on excellence in service

Qualifications and Experience


• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, preferably with financial structures in an academic environment;


• Proficiency in complex financial modeling, record-keeping, and database management, with the capability to create new systems and procedures;


• Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple demanding projects in a dynamic environment;


• A collaborative approach with the ability to foster strong relationships across all organizational levels;


• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team;


• Proven ability to support a diverse community and promote an inclusive environment.
