About the Role

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a highly skilled Compensation Analyst II to support the development, administration, and communication of our global compensation programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with leading compensation surveys, including job matching, data submission, review, and analysis of results, and updating market data for various job hierarchies.
  • Support the annual salary planning process, including budgeting, modeling, administration, and analysis.
  • Design and execute various incentive programs and calculate incentive payments, while communicating with employees.
  • Manage and support compensation-related projects, focusing on process improvement, employee communication, and education, program review, and redesign.
  • Perform data analysis and prepare management reports related to compensation.
  • Coordinate with HR Business Partners and managers to resolve compensation-related issues and elevate compensation knowledge across the company.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and technology staff to ensure HRIS systems are updated to reflect changes to salary structures, incentive programs, and other compensation-related changes.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of compensation best practices.
  • Clear and concise communication and presentation skills.
  • Consultative approach and mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze data and present conclusions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Familiarity with survey management tools, MarketPay preferred.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year of experience in compensation administration.
  • HR credential preferred but not required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. The company offers a competitive total compensation package, including health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
