Job Overview

The OEM Sales Executive is tasked with achieving specific objectives linked to the overall success of a portfolio of 2-10 hotels. This role involves actively seeking and securing new business opportunities for all designated properties. The OEM Sales Executive will collaborate closely with the respective Directors of Sales and hotel management to meet the revenue and market share targets for the assigned hotels. The sales focus may differ based on the unique characteristics of the properties involved (e.g., Leisure, Business Travel, Group, SMERF). Management-level personnel are expected to dedicate sufficient time each workday to fulfill their responsibilities; for OEM roles, overtime compensation is applicable and calculated accordingly.

Key Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates possessing at least 2 years of experience in Hotel Sales.
  • A valid driver's license for the applicable state is mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for negotiating, persuading, selling, and influencing other managerial staff, hotel guests, and corporate clients.
  • Experience in professional selling techniques is desirable, including skills in opening, probing, supporting, and closing.
  • Proficiency in general computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products, is required.
  • The ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial; strong organizational and presentation skills are necessary.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Achieve designated sales and revenue targets, along with solicitation call objectives for the assigned hotel collection.
  • Proactively engage in solicitation calls, conduct sales tours, and entertain clients relevant to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel, and/or Groups as appropriate for each property.
  • Enhance existing relationships with assigned accounts specific to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel, and/or Groups as applicable.
  • Monitor and assess trends within your market segment.
  • Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Comply with established regulations, company standards, sales metrics, and sales protocols.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations and policies across relevant departments.
  • Maintain a strong presence in local community and industry organizations as applicable.
  • Assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions related to direct sales segments, such as sales blitzes.
  • Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, along with any other functions required by management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Sales.
