Job Overview

The OEM Sales Executive plays a crucial role in achieving designated objectives linked to the overall success of the hotel. This individual will be tasked with effectively identifying and securing new business opportunities. Collaborating closely with the Director of Sales, the OEM Sales Executive will work towards fulfilling the hotel's revenue and market share targets across one or more properties. The sales focus may differ based on the specific property assigned (e.g., Leisure, Business Travel, Group, SMERF). Management-level associates are expected to dedicate sufficient time each workday to fulfill their responsibilities; for OEM associates, overtime will be applicable and calculated accordingly.

Key Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; prior experience in Hotel Sales is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license for the applicable state is necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for negotiating, persuading, selling, and influencing other managerial personnel, hotel guests, and corporate clients.
  • Experience in professional selling techniques is desirable: initiating, probing, supporting, and closing.
  • Proficiency in general computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications, is required.
  • The ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial; strong organizational and presentation skills are necessary.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Successfully achieve assigned sales and revenue targets, as well as solicitation call objectives.
  • Proactively engage in solicitation calls, conduct sales tours, and entertain clients relevant to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel, and/or Groups as applicable by property.
  • Enhance existing relationships with assigned accounts related to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel, and/or Groups as applicable by property.
  • Monitor and assess trends within your market segment.
  • Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Comply with established regulations, company standards, sales standards, and sales metrics.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the hotel's operations and policies, as well as those of relevant departments.
  • Maintain a strong presence in the local community and industry organizations as applicable.
  • Assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions related to direct sales segments, such as sales blitzes.
  • Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, along with any other functions required by management.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales.
