Job Overview:
  • As a key contributor, the Senior Systems Analyst will offer expert technical support for the design and resolution of computer systems.
  • The role involves determining the necessary system data, hardware, or software components to fulfill user requirements.
  • Additionally, the analyst will establish protocols for implementing secure systems for clients or installation teams.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in the industry is typically required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • The primary objective of this position is to acquire mainframe software development expertise for the Commerce & Compliance Application Development (CCAD) team. The main responsibilities include:
  • Engaging in COBOL software development tasks pertinent to CCAD projects.
  • Developing JCL related to mainframe operations.
  • Implementing CICS development for mainframe applications.
  • Creating code to interface with DB2 DBMS.
  • Conducting reverse engineering of existing systems.
  • Documenting both current and future state processes.
  • Utilizing various information-gathering methods (e.g., interviews, diagrams) to collect, define, and document intricate business data requirements from stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities for enhancements in existing systems.
  • Performing, documenting, and presenting impact assessments.
  • Creating and managing project requirements.
  • Supporting the development of functional specifications for data models, customizations, extracts, and reports.
  • Preparing implementation documentation and aiding in the implementation process.
  • Designing modifications in asset management software and coordinating integration into the current business production environment.
  • Planning and facilitating data cleanup initiatives.
  • Preparing test data and overseeing testing activities, including the formulation of test plans and cases, tracking enhancements, and results.
  • Coordinating user acceptance testing.
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve project milestones and deadlines.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with IT and business partners.
  • Conducting remote training sessions for both business and technical audiences.
  • Troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and providing solutions.
  • Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as JCL, CICS, and COBOL is essential.
  • Ability to produce software design documentation is mandatory.
  • Advanced DB2 skills with a solid understanding of SQL are required.
  • Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering is desirable.
  • Strong communication abilities are a plus.
  • Experience in testing design and development is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with data science tools, including Python, is advantageous.
  • Capability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Experience in process automation is a plus.
