As a Senior Epic Analyst, your responsibilities will encompass the planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of Epic software applications. This is a direct hire opportunity that allows for remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, analyze, design, implement, test, debug, and maintain Epic software applications.
- Provide guidance and support to end-users to optimize the use of the Epic system; perform analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex incidents not addressed by the user or Tier I support.
- Create knowledge articles, architecture documents, and strategic plans as necessary to direct the technical strategy of the department, ensuring that documentation is utilized and kept current.
- Maintain system integrity; lead others in solving complex issues; work independently, seeking guidance only in the most intricate situations.
- Mentor team members and assist management in prioritizing tasks within your area of expertise; lead projects or project phases within a larger initiative or manage ongoing activities or objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for the analysis and design of quality clinical builds, considering vendor best practices, strategic alignment, customer value, return on investment, maintenance considerations, and alternative solutions.
- Adhere to and coach the team on standards for internal builds, documentation, and change processes to ensure consistency with build requirements and system stability.
- Participate in and/or facilitate committees, project teams, and performance/process improvements as a subject matter expert and advisor to the team.
- Provide necessary business and/or technical support for both project and production-related activities, ensuring compliance with required standards and obtaining necessary approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required; OR Eight (8) years of relevant work experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience where each year of education equates to two (2) years of experience.
- A minimum of six (6) years of Epic-related experience is required; experience in an inpatient or ambulatory setting is preferred.
- Epic Beacon OR Willow certification is required at the time of hire; completion of a Kaizen basics course within the first year of employment; a foundational understanding of Lean principles is preferred.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to collaborate within the department and across departments to articulate ideas, negotiate resolutions, and achieve objectives.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; capacity to adapt swiftly to changing priorities.
Salary is negotiable based on experience. Willingness to travel on a quarterly basis is required.
