Position Summary:

The Office of Information Services (OIS) acts as a shared service provider, delivering technology systems and services to support a large workforce. These systems are essential for managing client service program eligibility and providing a variety of essential services, including medical, housing, food, and job assistance.

This role within the Vendor Managed Office (VMO) team focuses on supporting business partners in managing IT vendor performance. The consultant will provide strategic guidance and operational support throughout the IT procurement and contracting processes. Close collaboration with business partners is essential to identify system requirements, develop contractual terms, and secure optimal IT solutions while mitigating contractual risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to agency leadership, ensuring that IT needs and priorities are met. Regularly communicate project statuses, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • IT Procurement Consultation: Offer insights and analysis on IT system procurement and contracting, advising on the effective use of contract vehicles to manage vendor accountability.
  • Vendor Contract Oversight: Manage IT vendor contracts and relationships, ensuring alignment with business requirements and strategic objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Assess contractor performance to ensure business goals and strategic outcomes are achieved, conducting evaluations and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Strategic Development: Collaborate with key vendors and internal stakeholders to enhance VMO processes and capabilities, including the development of key performance indicators (KPIs).
