Position Overview: The Vice President of Operations is accountable for the overall effectiveness of all construction initiatives within designated regions, particularly focusing on Florida, with potential oversight in Missouri and Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ethical leadership and management to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
  • Drive business development efforts to foster future growth opportunities.
  • Oversee the assigned Construction Division, including its operations, equipment, and facilities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and hold team members accountable for compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies for enhanced service delivery.
  • Monitor work schedules and quality control measures to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Management teams to facilitate seamless transitions and information sharing.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of contracts, pricing structures, and specific client requirements.
  • Train and mentor direct reports to ensure they possess the necessary expertise.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities and participate in bid preparation and contract negotiations.
  • Conduct weekly financial reviews to ensure the financial health of operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and contractual obligations, maintaining equipment to required standards.
  • Manage equipment procurement through cost-benefit analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy in employee timekeeping and production records.
  • Participate in the onboarding process for new subcontractors.
  • Assess and manage workforce needs in relation to client demands.
  • Provide timely feedback and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Create and maintain individual development plans for employees.
  • Implement opportunities for professional growth and development.

Qualifications: Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, and cloud-based technologies. A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years of direct experience in the Telecommunications industry, or equivalent experience, is required.

Core Competencies: Strong teamwork and servant leadership abilities, adept at complex problem-solving and critical thinking. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships. Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
