Overview:
The University of Miami/UHealth is seeking a Vice President (VP) of Clinical Financial Management. This pivotal role encompasses the oversight and administration of all financial policies, management, and analysis pertaining to the clinical operations of the University of Miami, which includes hospitals, clinics, and physician practices.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and manage financial performance metrics across the clinical enterprise, ensuring both internal success and external benchmarking.
2. Conduct regular financial and productivity reviews, ensuring consistency across the clinical operations.
3. Prepare and present financial reports to operational leadership on a scheduled basis.
4. Collaborate with leadership in strategic planning and financial oversight, aligning pro-forma business plans with actual results.
5. Direct the preparation and forecasting of operating plans in partnership with the financial planning and analysis office.
6. Monitor the financial performance of various service lines throughout the enterprise.
7. Serve as the Clinical Finance representative on committees as needed.

Training and Development:
Ensure that all operational managers receive training on financial systems and reports necessary for effective departmental management. Mentor, hire, and supervise department staff as required.

Compliance and Oversight:
Guarantee adherence to internal controls and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, safeguarding assets, and ensuring reliability in reporting. Establish an effective control environment, conduct risk assessments, and implement necessary controls.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare administration, or accounting.
- CPA certification preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a healthcare system or academic healthcare setting, with at least 5 years in a leadership support role.

Skills and Attributes:
- Proficient in business and management principles.
- Capable of directing, managing, and evaluating departmental operations.
- Ability to set departmental goals aligned with the strategic plan.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgment in decision-making.
