Position Summary: Bilingual Automotive Sales Specialist

This role involves selling and leasing both new and pre-owned vehicles while adhering to dealership profit margins, volume targets, and customer satisfaction benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

• Achieve a minimum sales target for vehicle transactions each month.

• Complete sales orders and manage paperwork in line with dealership protocols.

• Implement dealership sales tracking and follow-up systems.

• Participate in product and sales training sessions as directed by the sales manager.

• Stay informed about new products and services in the automotive sector.

• Maintain a follow-up system for owners to promote repeat and referral business, enhancing customer satisfaction.

• Develop and manage a prospecting system.

• Conduct business ethically and professionally.

• Address the transportation needs of vehicle buyers.

• Greet and assist customers entering the dealership showroom or sales area.

• Help customers choose a vehicle by asking pertinent questions and attentively listening to their answers.

• Clearly explain product performance, applications, and benefits to potential buyers.

• Provide detailed descriptions of optional equipment available for purchase.

• Offer test drives to all interested customers, ensuring proper identification is obtained beforehand.

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

• Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing retail automobile sales.

• Set personal income goals aligned with dealership productivity standards and develop strategies to achieve them.

• Keep updated on new products, features, and accessories, and their advantages for customers.

• Understand equity and values, and explain depreciation to customers effectively.

• Ensure the sales manager meets each customer.

• Forward all finalized deals to the finance and insurance manager, along with accurately completed paperwork.

• Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery before their arrival.

• Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they comprehend the vehicle's features, warranty, and necessary paperwork.

• Introduce customers to service department staff to highlight the quality and efficiency of available service repairs and maintenance.

• Schedule the first service appointment for customers.

• Follow up on all post-delivery items, including tag/title work and special requests, to ensure customer expectations are met.

• Review and assess daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly actions to optimize time management and planning.

• Attend sales meetings regularly.

• Maintain a professional appearance.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications and technical procedures. Skilled in writing reports and business correspondence and effectively presenting information to various audiences.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Capable of computing rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpreting bar graphs.

• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and commissions, and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.

Reasoning Skills

• Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in various formats. Capable of solving practical problems in standardized situations.

• Ability to interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
