Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and seat guests in a warm, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Manage incoming phone calls with professionalism and a positive demeanor.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the entrance, hostess stand, and restrooms.
  • Oversee the reservations system, ensuring accurate seating and wait times.
  • Accompany guests to their assigned tables while engaging in pleasant conversation.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain a professional and friendly interaction with guests and colleagues.
  • Punctually arrive for scheduled shifts, prepared to work.
  • Adhere to the dress code, including appropriate attire and grooming standards.
  • Offer alternative reservation times when the desired slot is unavailable.
  • Accurately calculate and communicate wait times to guests.
  • Encourage guests to enjoy the bar area for drinks and appetizers during extended waits.
  • Keep all areas, including floors and aisles, clean and free of clutter.
  • Assist with bussing tables during busy periods.
  • Guide guests needing assistance around the restaurant.
  • Express gratitude to departing guests and warmly welcome new arrivals.
  • Be knowledgeable about restaurant details to address guest inquiries effectively.
  • Handle phone calls and guest requests efficiently, ensuring proper communication with management.
  • Stay informed about daily specials, entertainment, and featured beverages.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a fun, energetic, and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Previous experience in the restaurant industry is preferred but not mandatory.
