DataStaff, Inc is in search of a Senior Agile Project Coordinator for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our esteemed clients.

This role offers a hybrid work environment.

Our client requires a seasoned technical Project Coordinator to spearhead the delivery of a cloud-based data management solution that will cater to the agency's data handling requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a robust history of crafting and executing effective cloud solutions for intricate data management challenges. Familiarity with data security and cloud infrastructure is essential, with a preference for experience in transportation-related data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates consistent project execution throughout the project lifecycle, including: project plans, release schedules, resource distribution, and management of project risks, scope, timeline, and value delivery.
  • Organizes Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, Sprint Demonstrations, Story Refinement, and Release Planning.
  • Monitors and communicates project progress regarding schedule, cost, and risk to the project team, stakeholders, and management.
  • Cultivates an environment conducive to team effectiveness and assists in removing barriers.
  • Shields the team from external interruptions and distractions.
  • Fosters a positive relationship between the team and the product owner, as well as other external parties.
  • Tracks and reports team velocity and other relevant project metrics.
  • Encourages continuous improvement and aids teams in enhancing productivity.
  • Assists the Product Owner and team with managing the Product backlog.
  • Complies with defined project management practices.
  • Communicates timelines and expectations to both technical and business personnel.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to comprehend project requirements and support data management objectives.
  • Ensures data is collected, stored, and processed securely and in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Analyzes data and provides insights to facilitate decision-making by project management teams.
  • Offers training and support for end-users to ensure effective utilization of the platform.
  • Demonstrates capability and experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining local master data systems and processes across various business units and functions.
  • Understands data and leverages it to deliver business value, with the ability to discuss requirements with data teams.
  • Possesses experience in data governance concepts and implementations.
  • Utilizes an agile approach and methodology to drive master data governance processes.
  • Ensures documentation of requirements and use cases, facilitating design workshops for assigned projects.
  • Defines test objectives, designs test plans, and creates test cases for assigned projects.
  • Manages project milestones and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Defines, measures, and communicates progress using metrics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of software development life cycle models and expert knowledge of Agile project management principles and practices.
  • Experience in managing cloud-based solutions for data management and analytics.
  • Ability to engage with customers, comprehend their business practices, and manage their expectations.
  • Capacity to establish clear performance standards and hold team members accountable while maintaining team engagement.
  • Assists Product Owners in creating and prioritizing the Product Backlog.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, including mentoring, coaching, collaboration, and team building.
  • Possesses strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to analyze and document business and system processes.
  • Capable of balancing competing demands for quality, scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Well-versed in Scrum and Kanban Agile methodologies.
  • PMP and CSM Certifications are mandatory.
  • SAFe Certification is preferred.
  • Experience with the SAFe framework is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in managing large, multi-stream projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project Server).

Required Skills:

  • PMP and CSM Certifications are essential.
  • 8 Years - Experience in managing cloud-based solutions for data management and analytics.
  • 8 Years - Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and software systems, including Azure and Google Cloud.
  • 8 Years - Experience with data processing and storage tools (e.g., Spark, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Event Hub, Azure SQL, Synapse).
  • 8 Years - Familiarity with transportation data and project management related to transportation data is a plus.
  • 8 Years - Experience in IT Infrastructure delivery (networking, physical plant, vendor management, site provisioning) is preferred.
  • 8 Years - Technical Business Analyst understanding of data integration and data projects.
  • 8 Years - Experience in the rollout and adoption of governance tools such as Alation, Collibra, Informatica, or Microsoft Purview.
  • 8 Years - Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management. & Agile Scrum Master.
