The Senior Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in effectively planning, organizing, and guiding diverse project teams through all stages of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the transformation of identified requirements into actionable plans for successful project delivery.
  • Provide ongoing governance and oversight to ensure projects align with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and manage proposals, statements of work, and responses to requests for proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish project plans, goals, and policies that facilitate successful execution.
  • Ensure comprehensive project plans include tasks, schedules, risk assessments, and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate the transition of project plans to internal teams for effective execution.
  • Implement a governance framework that includes meetings, reporting, metrics, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor vendor progress and define metrics to measure success against established milestones.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including executive management and project sponsors.
  • Set initiative goals that align with the organization’s technology strategy.
  • Adhere to established project management practices and governance standards.
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence in managing project challenges and fostering a positive project culture.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 15 years of overall IT experience, with a preference for technology infrastructure background.
  • A minimum of 10 years managing large-scale projects, complemented by a bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Visio.
  • Financial literacy, including budgeting and contract management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement management, including the development of Statements of Work and contracts.
  • PMP Certification through PMI or equivalent qualifications recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Familiarity with the Commonwealth Technology Portfolio system and IT procurement processes is preferred.
