DataStaff, Inc is in search of a Senior Agile Project Manager for a long-term contract opportunity.

This role offers a hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in steering the development and execution of a cloud-based data management platform tailored to meet the organization's data handling requirements. A successful applicant will demonstrate a solid history of crafting and deploying effective cloud solutions for intricate data management challenges. Familiarity with data security and cloud infrastructure is essential, with a preference for experience in transportation-related data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee consistent project execution throughout the project lifecycle, including: project timelines, release schedules, resource distribution, and management of project risks, scope, and delivery of value.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, Sprint Demos, Story Refinement, and Release Planning.
  • Monitor and communicate project progress regarding schedule, budget, and risk to the project team, stakeholders, and management.
  • Create an environment conducive to team effectiveness and assist in eliminating barriers.
  • Shield the team from external interruptions and distractions.
  • Foster positive relationships between the team and product owner, as well as other external parties.
  • Track and report team performance metrics and other project indicators.
  • Encourage continuous improvement and assist teams in enhancing productivity.
  • Support the Product Owner and team with Product backlog management.
  • Comply with established project management practices.
  • Communicate timelines and expectations to both technical and business personnel.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend project requirements and facilitate data management needs.
  • Ensure secure data collection, storage, and processing in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Analyze data to provide insights that support decision-making for project management teams.
  • Deliver training and support for end-users to maximize platform utilization.
  • Exhibit capability and experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining local master data systems and processes across various business units.
  • Understand data and leverage it to deliver business value, with the ability to discuss requirements with data teams.
  • Experience in data governance concepts and implementations.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies to drive master data governance processes.
  • Ensure documentation of requirements and use cases, and facilitate design workshops for assigned projects.
  • Define test objectives, design test plans, and create test cases for assigned projects.
  • Manage project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Establish, measure, and communicate progress using metrics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of software development life cycle models and expert knowledge of Agile project management principles.
  • Experience managing cloud-based solutions for data management and analytics.
  • Ability to engage with customers, comprehend their business practices, and manage expectations.
  • Capacity to set clear performance standards and hold team members accountable while maintaining team engagement.
  • Assist Product Owners in creating and prioritizing the Product Backlog.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including mentoring, coaching, collaboration, and team building.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to analyze and document business and system processes.
  • Skill in balancing competing demands for quality, scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Proficient in Scrum and Kanban Agile methodologies.
  • PMP and CSM Certifications are mandatory.
  • SAFe Certification is preferred.
  • Experience with the SAFe framework is advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing large, multi-stream projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project Server).

Required Skills:

  • PMP and CSM Certifications are essential.
  • 8 Years - Experience managing cloud-based solutions for data management and analytics.
  • 8 Years - Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and software systems, including Azure and Google Cloud.
  • 8 Years - Experience with data processing and storage tools (e.g., Spark, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Event Hub, Azure SQL, Synapse).
  • 8 Years - Familiarity with transportation data and project management related to transportation is a plus.
  • 8 Years - Experience in IT Infrastructure delivery (networking, physical plant, vendor management, site provisioning) is preferred.
  • 8 Years - Technical Business Analyst understanding of data integration and data projects.
  • 8 Years - Experience in the rollout and adoption of governance tools such as Alation, Collibra, Informatica, or Microsoft Purview.
  • 8 Years - Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management as an Agile Scrum Master.
