POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the HR department's functions and ensuring smooth operations within the organization. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of various HR disciplines, including but not limited to employee relations, compliance, recruitment, and benefits administration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of HR policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices.
  • Provide guidance to team members regarding HR policies, benefits updates, and recruitment opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including I-9 documentation and E-Verify compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Department to ensure timely updates and changes to employee information.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly HR reports as required.
  • Uphold confidentiality of sensitive employee information while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including change reporting and communication of benefit information.
  • Stay informed about safety policies and compliance with USDA, GMP, QA, HACCP, and sanitation regulations.
  • Manage FMLA documentation for employees returning from leave, including scheduling necessary drug tests.
  • Create and manage identification badges for new hires and maintain badge inventory.
  • Handle incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support team members with routine HR inquiries and concerns.
  • Participate in company events and assist with additional tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain employee files in accordance with company record retention policies.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality as essential job functions.
  • Respond to email communications professionally and promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of HR experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and the ability to follow through on tasks.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Capability to read and interpret business documents and regulations.
