Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and driven Resource Counselor to join our team. This integral role within our Resource Center focuses on assisting seniors, caregivers, and individuals with disabilities by providing guidance, information, and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct respectful interviews and assessments to understand the needs of individuals seeking assistance.
  • Provide accurate and timely information about community resources and programs tailored to individual circumstances.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation in our database system.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • High School Diploma/GED with one year of experience working with seniors and individuals with disabilities is essential.
  • Proven customer service expertise, including strong listening skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Familiarity with community resources and services for seniors is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are crucial.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as databases, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and the Internet is required.
