Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to department management, coworkers, employees, and the general public as required.
- Document Management: Scan Florence County employee files into the document management system, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines for retention years.
- Payroll Processing: Collect and scan all County department timesheets for payroll processing, storing files by department and retention guidelines.
- Benefits Administration: Post payments for retirees, survivors, COBRA, and employees on leave of absence, sending letters for non-payment after review by the HR Director.
- Candidate Coordination: Coordinate interviews and related communication with candidates.
- Employee Engagement: Provide support for employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
- Point of Contact: Act as the point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Office Operations: Assist with office operations, including answering incoming calls, distributing correspondence, and scheduling HR meetings and events.
- Performance Evaluations: Ensure that employee performance evaluations are accurately keyed and filed in the proper folder.
- Supply Management: Order supplies and maintain a checklist of standard items.
- Correspondence: Type correspondence for the HR Director and create/update HR forms as needed.
- Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations as needed.
- Education: Associate's degree in HR or a related field.
- Experience: 3-4 years of office experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in technology usage skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar programs.
- Communication Skills: Results-driven, persistent, and able to self-direct and work independently, while seeking guidance when appropriate.
- Teamwork: Ability to work with a team and multitask without guidance.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to detail and be flexible in a fast-paced and growing organization.
