Position Overview


We are in search of a Research Scientist to join our innovative team in the Materials Physics Department, focusing on groundbreaking quantum microelectronics technologies.

Role Responsibilities


The successful candidate will engage in the exploration of advanced device physics and performance influenced by quantum phase transitions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting nanoscale device fabrication utilizing e-beam lithography.
  • Performing low-temperature electronic transport measurements.
  • Operating and maintaining 3He cryogenic systems and dilution refrigerators.

Given the nature of our work, the selected individual will be required to work onsite and may need to travel occasionally.

Qualifications Required


To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A PhD in condensed matter physics, electrical engineering, materials science, or a related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in electronic device fabrication, particularly with e-beam lithography.
  • Proven experience in low-temperature transport properties measurements.
  • A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and experience presenting at scientific conferences.
Qualifications Desired


Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with the operation and maintenance of 3He and dilution refrigerator cryogenic systems.
  • Familiarity with Josephson junction physics.
  • Knowledge of topological quantum materials and III-V compound semiconductors.
