Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch break).
Location:
Onsite work is required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute intricate design tasks for the Engineering Department, serving as a technical authority in the formulation and development of advanced engineering and design concepts.
2. Establish Engineering Standards for Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control (EI&C) equipment procurement and installation.
3. Define project parameters by identifying objectives, selecting technical approaches, and providing support to business units.
4. Plan projects by drafting specifications, creating timelines, and identifying enhancements to existing processes.
5. Supervise the construction of EI&C capital projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and compliance with industry standards.
6. Implement projects by tracking performance, executing corrective measures, and providing feedback to project teams, including the generation and updating of operational procedures.
7. Troubleshoot technical issues related to projects and maintain accurate reporting data for business units.
8. Upgrade, design, configure, and monitor related equipment and performance metrics.
9. Analyze components, systems, processes, and refinery economics to ensure optimal functionality.
10. Maintain the integrity of business unit data and conduct research to innovate process control methodologies.
11. Design layouts for EI&C on a commercial scale, determining the most effective arrangement of systems such as Burner Management and Safety Instrumented Systems.
12. Investigate and resolve issues arising during the work process.
Qualifications:
A minimum of eight years of progressive experience in electrical, instrumentation, and controls is required, with a focus on controls engineering and power distribution.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in the refinery or petrochemical sector is advantageous.
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience is mandatory.

4. Technical expertise in the relevant specialty area.
