Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Design Engineer to join our team at The Haskell Company. As a key member of our transportation design group, you will be responsible for leading the design of civil transportation/roadway projects, including grading, stormwater management, utilities, pavements, roads, and bridges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project strategy meetings and develop design concepts for transportation projects
  • Develop pricing and proposal presentation documents, and outline specifications for projects
  • Identify the basis of design for roadway, signing, striping, traffic control, constructability, hydrology, hydraulics, utilities, and erosion sediment control design approach
  • Direct technical efforts of project engineers, designers, technicians, and/or interns assigned to the project
  • Sign and seal design documents when assigned as Professional of Record
  • Advise and assist owners and contractors in the interpretation and clarification of construction documents and response to requests for information
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in transportation design
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Working knowledge of Microstation, OpenRoads, and/or InRoads
  • Ability to administer an environment for staff to excel, while coaching them to advance their careers
