- Work as a key resource in the Engineering R&D department, generating engineering solutions for industry challenges.
- Collaborate with vendors or customers for joint product development or project-related work.
- Work on multiple projects, taking responsibility for on-time and on-budget delivery of proven design solutions.
- Perform analysis to verify the effectiveness and suitability of proposed design solutions.
- Exercise judgment in making selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives and in making decisions about project management and scheduling.
- Generate test plans and contribute to test equipment design verification.
- Carry out necessary test programs to ensure the reliability and sustainability of the product.
- Compile engineering reports and present data to the management team.
- Work within defined parameters to make decisions and apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity.
- Resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
- Identify customer requirements and attend customer meetings.
- Work on internal design activities and technical decisions, participating in design reviews with the engineering team.
- Generate Bill of Material for assigned projects and prepare Quality Control Plans.
- Adhere to engineering hours allocated to the job and drawing lists to be submitted to customers.
- Support fabrication of equipment, including troubleshooting, product improvement, and product inspection.
- Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material.
- Actively promote safety processes and report any safety issues to proper channels for action.
- Support existing VFDs and evaluate competitor drives to maintain industry lead with drive capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
- 60 months of experience with industrial control industry, variable speed drives (VSDs), SCADA, and engineering/project management.
- Experience working with Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) application, field service, sales support, and technical writing.
- Proficiency in Baker Advance Drive coding and operations with induction and permanent magnet motors, VFD application, field service, product documentation, and enhancements.
