Position Overview

The Client Relationship Executive will act as a key partner to Market Presidents, Managing Partners, Client Executives, and service teams, providing strategic counsel for an established portfolio of clients. This role is focused on managing and retaining client relationships while proactively identifying new business prospects and collaboratively assisting in the design, marketing, and execution of tailored solutions within the Property & Casualty or Employee Benefits sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of clients with an emphasis on strategy, growth, and retention; facilitate the creation, maintenance, and execution of client service delivery strategies.
  • Demonstrate experience in working with clients of diverse sizes and types, including fully-funded, self-funded, and voluntary benefits.
  • Collaborate with service leadership to provide guidance and direction to the service team, ensuring strategies are effectively designed, communicated, and implemented to achieve objectives.
  • Enhance the firm's relationships with current clients and drive continuous improvements with a focus on business retention and expansion.
  • Serve as a strategic consultant to clients and internal stakeholders, showcasing a profound technical understanding of insurance and risk management.
  • Build and nurture relationships with clients, prospects, carrier partners, and other stakeholders to enhance client retention; demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of needs to identify and deliver Hylant solutions across various business lines.
  • Support Managing Partners and Client Executives in account management and act on behalf of the Client Executive when necessary.
  • Manage negotiations regarding all commission and fee arrangements in accordance with established pricing guidelines (exceptions require management pre-approval).
  • Represent Hylant at industry events and trade shows.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with leadership at all levels (i.e., office, region, business unit), providing updates on client and market intelligence necessary to align strategies with business objectives.
  • Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, risk management, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of sales and/or service experience within the insurance sector.
  • Active Property & Casualty or Life & Health License.
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance lines of coverage in the selected focus area (P&C or EB).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Hylant's Agency Management System(s) (AMS).
  • CIC, CPCU, ARM, or CRM designation is required.
  • Valid Resident State Driver's License is required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings, conferences, or other business-related activities.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
