Role Summary: As a pivotal member of our Location Advisory team, you will be responsible for securing economic incentives for clients engaged in job creation, facility expansion, equipment acquisition, or relocation projects. This position focuses on establishing and nurturing relationships with brokers, bankers, private equity firms, and other real estate professionals throughout the southeastern United States. Your primary territory will encompass Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida. You will be instrumental in cultivating new referral sources while maintaining existing client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate new client relationship opportunities within the Location Advisory sector for the southeastern market.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of McGuire Sponsel's Location Advisory services.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to create and implement effective market strategies.
  • Oversee the seamless transition of awarded client engagements to the relevant practice line.
  • Work closely with key practice line leaders to gather and analyze client data, preparing engagement letters during the proposal phase.
  • Utilize Salesforce, our CRM software, to document new and existing opportunities.
  • Engage in firm marketing initiatives and represent the firm at various industry events, including annual tax conferences.
  • Travel to meet with prospective clients and deliver presentations to key decision-makers.
  • Manage ongoing client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Previous experience in B2B sales is essential.
  • Experience working with bankers, brokers, developers, and private equity is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a sales or professional services role is desirable.
  • No prior knowledge of tax credits or economic development is necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational capabilities, and superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Consultative approach with strong interpersonal skills, excelling in client interactions.
  • Willingness to engage with clients outside of a traditional office setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe is required.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license is necessary.
  • Ability to travel to various client locations as required.
