Position Overview - Client Account Partner

As a vital member of Jacobs Engineering Group Inc, the Client Account Partner will play a crucial role in shaping our sales strategies and fostering strong client relationships within the transportation sector.

Your Contributions:

In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Client Account Manager to formulate and implement effective sales strategies through comprehensive market analysis, leadership, and meticulous planning at both the account and opportunity levels. Your primary goal will be to ensure that Jacobs remains the preferred partner for our clients.

As a Client Account Partner, you will:

  • Facilitate go/no-go and bid/no-bid discussions by assessing opportunities from a holistic perspective to identify potential risks and challenges.
  • Work alongside the Client Account Manager and technical teams to evaluate our chances of success, often taking on the role of a constructive challenger to ensure all concerns are thoroughly addressed.
  • Lead Middle Game activities for Tier 3 & 4 pursuits and participate in strategic pursuits for Tier 1 & 2, in collaboration with a Strategic Pursuit Leader or Senior Client Account Partners.
  • Drive storyboarding sessions and collaborate with the Client Account Manager to refine and integrate pursuit strategies and winning themes into proposal documents.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Operations Center to identify necessary resources for the End Game phase of pursuits and ensure their integration into the overall team strategy.

Additionally, you will partner with opportunity teams to create compelling client presentations, including:

  • Client identifier slides
  • Theme statements
  • Winning attributes and feature/benefit/proof slides

This role requires strong collaboration with subject matter experts for content development, designers for presentation aesthetics, and organizing practice sessions to enhance presentation skills.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Exceptional coordination skills for managing multiple team members and their contributions.
  • A solid understanding of Jacobs' Relationship-Based Sales process, systems, and tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with individuals from diverse disciplines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Self-motivation and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to influence others effectively.
  • The capacity to thrive in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
  • A commitment to supporting the company's strategic objectives and profitable growth.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
