About Bliss Dermatology: A privately owned dermatological practice located in Southwest Florida, Bliss Dermatology provides a unique working atmosphere that is free from corporate constraints. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage incoming calls to arrange appointments, address inquiries, and assess patient concerns.
  • Initiate outbound calls to patients as instructed by management.
  • Welcome patients upon their arrival for appointments.
  • Register new patients and update existing patient information, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and payments are processed accurately.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional phone demeanor while directing calls appropriately.
  • Facilitate patient flow by alerting clinical staff of arrivals, managing delays, and communicating effectively with both patients and staff.
  • Conduct daily chart reviews to confirm that all patient appointments have the required demographic, identification, insurance, authorization, and billing details.
  • Assist in coordinating patient appointments within the practice and with external referrals.
  • Contact external referral sources for necessary records when applicable.
  • Ensure office supplies are adequately stocked by anticipating needs and monitoring equipment.
  • Stay informed about new products and maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for each patient.
  • Verify patient health benefits with authorized healthcare providers.
  • Manage the sending and receiving of medical records and referrals for patient care.
  • Keep the reception area tidy and organized.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:

This position is situated in a healthcare setting, requiring regular movement throughout the practice and interaction with patients who may have various health conditions.

Physical Requirements:

The role necessitates the ability to sit for extended periods. Physical tasks may include lifting, reaching, bending, walking, and effective communication.

Position Type:

This is a full-time role with core business hours from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong background in customer service.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in medical reception is preferred.
