We are currently seeking full-time Medical Assistants.Position Overview:
As a Medical Assistant, you will perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure efficient operations within healthcare facilities. Your role will be essential in making patients feel at ease during their visits and in clarifying instructions from healthcare providers. You will receive training to manage both administrative and clinical duties, providing care under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals and support psychiatrists, PAs, and APRNs.
- Accurately complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Execute tasks efficiently to improve clinic productivity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive experience for all clients.
- Adhere to instructions from healthcare providers and management.
- Maintain accurate medication history during vital checks.
- Support medical assessments, documentation, and client care.
- Manage patient records and information effectively.
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries and calls.
- Process medication orders and refill requests in a timely manner.
- Educate patients on prescriptions and medication information.
- Provide guidance on after-hours support for patient questions.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience in healthcare, preferably in medical staff services.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Medical Assisting certification is preferred.
Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and customer service skills.
- Positive interpersonal skills suitable for various environments.
- Essential knowledge of medical terminology.
Technology Skills:
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records.
- Understanding of CPT & ICD-10 Coding.
- Familiarity with medication procedures.
