Overview:
As a Patient Financial Navigator, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with their financial obligations related to healthcare services. Your expertise will help ensure that patients understand their insurance benefits and financial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and collect financial responsibilities from patients.
2. Update patient insurance benefits in relevant systems.
3. Assess patients' services for appropriate diagnosis and insurance coverage.
4. Execute daily tasks related to Managed Care and Patient Financial Navigation as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment or business office, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Insurance Knowledge Requirements:
- Familiarity with medical terminology and managed care authorization processes.
- Understanding of ICD9 and CPT coding.
- Experience in collections.
- Ability to calculate and collect patient responsibilities, including co-pays and coinsurance.
Screenings:
All candidates will undergo background checks, drug tests, and nicotine screenings to ensure a safe environment for our patients and staff.
