Position Summary

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to lead commercial initiatives in the Bay Area, CA region. In this critical role, you will work closely with the team to achieve organizational objectives and fulfill customer needs. Your responsibilities will include fostering key customer relationships, broadening the client base, and delivering comprehensive support to ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through diligent follow-up on leads and thorough research on potential clients.
  • Generate new business by engaging with prospective clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Oversee the sales process to successfully close new business deals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the existing client portfolio.
  • Achieve and surpass weekly and monthly activity and revenue goals.

Essential Functions

  • Manage commercial interactions with clients through visits, presentations, phone calls, and emails.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director to design and implement territory sales strategies.
  • Enhance relationships with both existing and potential customers.
  • Exhibit technical expertise to effectively communicate with clients.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Development, Technical Support, and other internal teams.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, association meetings, and networking events.
  • Travel within the designated territory approximately 40-50% of the time.
  • Take on additional projects or responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in the biotechnology sector, including the development, manufacturing, or application of recombinant proteins.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Prior experience in Sales or customer-facing roles.

Compensation

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 DOE + commission
