Summary

The Regional Sales Executive plays a crucial role in supporting local markets by fostering sales and building relationships with both existing and prospective accounts. This position operates under the direction of the Area Sales Manager or Regional Sales Manager to achieve sales objectives. The role is also responsible for ensuring our diverse portfolio of beers is represented with the utmost integrity by establishing trust and rapport with key decision-makers and influencers within the local market. The Regional Sales Executive typically focuses on a city or state level.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a consistent weekly sales route, visiting an average of 50-55 retail locations each week.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities by determining focus areas within the designated territory, arranging presentations, and utilizing effective stop-by techniques.
  • Introduce accounts to our existing and new beer offerings, brands, packaging, and draught options.
  • Ensure accurate execution of programs by distributor personnel.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key distribution and decision-makers in retail accounts to enhance sales capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and quality control in both on-premise and off-premise channels.
  • Achieve target volumes and distribution goals as outlined in the regional plan and documented through KPIs.
  • Organize and execute in-store promotions, beer dinners, and special events as necessary.
  • Oversee the implementation of all marketing initiatives within retail accounts.
  • Manage chain execution (distribution/promotions/programming) with assigned accounts.
  • Place point of sale (POS) materials in retail accounts as directed.
  • Conduct pricing surveys to document shelf price points for our portfolio.
  • Identify and establish new relationships with target accounts through effective selling techniques.
  • Maintain daily communication with the management team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Engage in continuous learning about our beer brands, the local market, and the beer industry as a whole.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, trade shows, and events at the customer and distributor level relevant to the assigned industry segment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant sales experience within the food or beverage industry, ideally in craft beer sales and working within a three-tier system.
  • Ability to manage complex sales, sales programs, and portfolios through excellent influence and customer service skills.
  • Effective and persuasive communicator with outstanding presence, presentation, and negotiation skills that prioritize simplicity and clarity.
  • Strong execution skills with a passion for detail-oriented decision-making and driving results.
  • Cicerone Certified Beer Server certificate or higher preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, including weekends, to drive sales and connect with customers.
  • Regular travel required to retail accounts. Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record and reliable transportation with valid vehicle insurance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather and traffic conditions. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks
  • Annual Salary Range: $58,000 - $65,000.
  • Annual Sales Bonus Plan: 30% of Annual Salary.
