Position Summary:

The Capture Manager is responsible for conducting in-depth qualitative and quantitative research to support the growth objectives of the company. This role involves organizing, managing, and reporting essential data to build and sustain a robust business pipeline. The Capture Manager oversees the entire capture process for government contracting opportunities, from identifying potential bids to final proposal submission. A thorough understanding of the federal procurement process, strong leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams are essential for developing competitive and compliant proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering business development insights to leadership.
  • Collaborating with team members to provide timely intelligence.
  • Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities.
  • Reviewing and analyzing solicitation documentation as part of the proposal development process.
  • Driving competitive positioning assessments for new business opportunities.
  • Conducting daily searches of government contract databases for new opportunities and reporting findings.
  • Tracking follow-up actions on designated opportunities.
  • Ensuring the company's profile is accurate in relevant databases.
  • Conducting financial analysis of the pipeline and preparing reports for executive leadership.
  • Managing the business development pipeline and reviewing presentations.
  • Researching known and potential competitors and partners.
  • Supporting proposal development, production, and delivery as needed.
  • Assisting team members with logistics and scheduling.
  • Participating in industry events to analyze upcoming opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in capture and business development initiatives.
  • 3-5 years of experience in government contracting business development or intelligence analysis.
  • Experience managing small teams for at least one year.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced federal contracting environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, SharePoint, and Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
