Position Summary

The Merchant Processing Operations Leader will be responsible for enhancing and supervising our payment processing functions. The ideal candidate should have a robust background in payment systems, comprehensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks, and outstanding leadership and communication abilities. This position entails managing a dedicated team, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and executing strategies to improve overall operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee a team of payment processing specialists.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and assistance to team members.
  • Encourage a supportive and cooperative workplace culture.
  • Manage the daily activities of the payment processing division.
  • Review transaction workflows to guarantee precision and effectiveness.
  • Establish and refine operational policies and procedures.
  • Remain informed about industry regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Work with compliance personnel to formulate and implement essential protocols.
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with merchant clients and service providers.
  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to integrate new merchants.
  • Examine processing metrics to uncover trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to boost processing efficiency and minimize errors.
  • Stay abreast of emerging payment processing technologies and industry trends.
  • Partner with IT departments to adopt new technologies and enhance current systems.
  • Coordinate with customer support teams to promptly resolve merchant inquiries and challenges.
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction in payment processing services.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in payment processing or a comparable role.
  • Thorough understanding of payment processing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Analytical thinker with the capacity to interpret data and implement enhancements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with industry software and payment processing systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
