Position Overview
The Repair Operations Team Leader is responsible for supervising the repair processes within their designated department. This role is pivotal in achieving the operational objectives of the department, focusing on Quality, Delivery, and Cost (QDC). The leader will mentor and develop personnel to ensure both technical proficiency and career advancement, promoting a culture of empowered teamwork and collaboration among department members to effectively identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Directly oversee team members (technicians) to ensure timely and quality repair order output.
- Optimize team performance and manage daily operations of the assigned repair lab categories.
- Establish and monitor operational and quality performance metrics for teams, ensuring adherence to Safety, Quality, Deliverables, Cost, and Employee affairs (SQDCE).
- Provide technical assistance or mobilize necessary resources to address production challenges.
- Identify and rectify technical and procedural deficiencies to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to drive product capability enhancements and establish operational process standards.

Team Development
- Assess team competencies and direct training initiatives to ensure technicians are well-trained and progressing in their roles.
- Participate in the recruitment process, conduct performance reviews, and manage corrective actions as necessary.

Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with inventory and procurement teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and component availability.
- Provide technical insights to account managers, product managers, and sales representatives to address any arising technical issues.
- Review and respond to field quality concerns and service reports.

Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Contract and Pricing team to assist in the development of repair categories and pricing frameworks.
- Offer technical training for account and product managers in areas of expertise.
- Deliver formal presentations for educational seminars and customer engagements.
- Develop technical bulletins and training materials for sales and customer communication.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in manufacturing or 3 years in surgical device/instrument repairs, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Alternatively, 8 years of relevant experience in surgical devices/instrument repairs and 2 years in a supervisory capacity in lieu of a degree.

Skills Required
- Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication skills to build trust and foster relationships within the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Oracle is preferred.
- Understanding of business financials, departmental cost structures, and operating budgets.
