Position Overview: As a key member of STERIS Canada Corporation, the Repair Operations Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the repair processes within the designated department. This role is pivotal in achieving the operational objectives related to Quality, Delivery, and Cost (QDC).

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage and guide a team of technicians to ensure efficient repair order completion, maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness.
  • Monitor and evaluate operational performance metrics, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Provide technical assistance and resources to address production challenges and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes and quality, implementing strategies to optimize performance and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to advance product capabilities and establish operational standards.
  • Conduct assessments of team skills and coordinate training initiatives to foster professional growth among technicians.
  • Engage in the recruitment process, including interviewing and performance evaluations, to build a strong team.
  • Work closely with inventory and purchasing departments to maintain optimal stock levels and component availability.
  • Address technical inquiries from account managers and sales representatives, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in the development of pricing structures and repair categories in collaboration with the Contract and Pricing team.
  • Deliver training and presentations to enhance the knowledge of account and product managers.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and training materials for internal and external communication.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and ISO standards, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess an Associate's Degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 4 years in manufacturing or 3 years in surgical device repairs, alongside 2 years in a supervisory role. Alternatively, candidates with 8 years of relevant experience and 2 years in a leadership capacity will be considered.
