Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate employee documentation to ascertain compensation eligibility.

To qualify for the GS-5 level: Candidates must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience should include: 1) Maintaining accurate and current records; 2) Utilizing automated systems for administrative support tasks (e.g., reviewing information for inconsistencies, managing databases, and preparing reports and correspondence); and 3) Operating standard office equipment (e.g., scanners, copiers, and fax machines) to perform a wide range of office automation tasks.
To qualify for the GS-4 level: Candidates must show at least one year of general experience that demonstrates progressively responsible clerical or office work that indicates the ability to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for this position.

Experience includes both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer activities that build critical competencies and skills relevant to this position.
Educational Requirements
In lieu of experience, candidates may qualify through education or a combination of education and experience:
GS-5: Completion of at least four full academic years of education beyond high school
OR
A combination of experience and education equivalent to one year of experience
GS-4: Completion of at least two full academic years of education beyond high school
OR
A combination of experience and education equivalent to one year of experience.
Transcripts must be submitted if qualifying based on education.
Additional Information
This position is subject to the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
This announcement utilizes direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to specific positions in the competitive service.
Term appointments may be extended up to eight years at management's discretion. Additionally, candidates may be noncompetitively converted to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment under specific conditions.
A standard 40-hour work week is expected for this role.
This position is being filled at the full performance level, and multiple vacancies may be available.
