Job Locations: US

Category: Analyst
Position OverviewNote: Initial interviews will be conducted virtually. All applications must be submitted through our official website. Individual application deadlines are specified on the events calendar. If your institution is not listed, please follow the application guidelines and submit your materials through our online portal.
ROLE OF THE ANALYST
As an Analyst, you will hold a vital position at Cornerstone Research. You will enter the firm as a generalist, allowing you to engage in projects that cover various practice areas, such as finance, antitrust, intellectual property, consumer fraud, product liability, and accounting. Our project teams vary in size and typically consist of an academic or industry expert, senior consultants, and fellow Analysts. Within a project team, your contributions will be significant throughout all stages of a project—from formulating case strategies to executing intricate analyses and preparing experts for their testimonies. Each day presents new learning opportunities.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM CASEWORK AT CORNERSTONE RESEARCHTeamwork is at the core of our operations. Analysts do not travel to client sites; nearly all work is conducted from our local offices or remotely. This ensures regular collaboration with your colleagues, even if you are not engaged in the same projects. In terms of casework, you can anticipate the following:
- Working on multiple projects concurrently to enhance your skill set and discover your preferred areas of work.
- Most projects involve both quantitative and qualitative components, though some may lean more heavily towards one aspect.
- Each Cornerstone Research office has a Staffing & Development Manager dedicated to overseeing your project assignments while considering your professional development objectives.
- Opportunities to interact with senior consultants, academic and industry experts, attorneys, and clients.
- Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Creating financial and economic models;
- Analyzing extensive datasets;
- Investigating market and industry trends;
- Conducting research through academic publications and relevant industry literature;
- Assisting in the preparation of expert reports;
- Presenting findings to colleagues, clients, and their legal representatives.
From your first day, we emphasize providing you with the knowledge, training, and resources necessary for your success. Your journey at the firm will commence with a thorough orientation and training program designed to introduce you to the firm and facilitate your integration. Additionally, we offer ongoing learning and development initiatives where you will acquire advanced analytical and statistical techniques applicable to your daily casework, along with soft skills essential for effective collaboration with case teams, clients, and experts. The firm presents numerous opportunities for Analysts to engage in and often lead initiatives beyond casework, including social committees, affinity groups, volunteer programs, and recruitment efforts. Your experience as an Analyst will be comprehensive.
LONG-TERM PROFESSIONAL GROWTHWe prioritize the long-term career development of our Analysts and acknowledge their contributions to both casework and the firm. The analytical rigor of our assignments and the diversity of industry exposure provide excellent preparation for graduate studies. Alongside the practical experience gained through casework, we offer various resources for those applying to prestigious graduate programs in business, economics, and law. Many Analysts opt to continue their careers at Cornerstone Research, with several of our senior consultants, including Partners, having begun their careers as Analysts. Furthermore, top-performing Analysts may qualify for financial support for graduate school and a position to return to the firm upon completion of their graduate studies.
QUALIFICATIONSIf the Analyst position resonates with you, we encourage you to consider applying. We seek well-rounded, motivated individuals for our Analyst role. Our qualifications include:
- Currently in your senior year of an undergraduate program or completing a Master’s degree;
- Demonstrated strong academic performance;
- Robust analytical background, through academic achievements or internships;
- Interest in business and economics;
- Preference for candidates who have completed at least one internship in business, economics, data analysis, or a related field.
Cornerstone Research is committed to providing visa support to qualified candidates with STEM-eligible degrees.
