Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at the Hilton Garden Inn West Monroe. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items in accordance with brand standards and guidelines.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare meals in accordance with brand standards and guidelines.
  • Comply with certification requirements, including Food Handlers Safety Training.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas in accordance with State Board of Health regulations.
  • Complete necessary food and station preparations prior to opening to ensure efficient service.
  • Know the location and operation of all safety equipment.
  • Assist in storage and rotation of food items according to hotel procedures.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen and work areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers Certification.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read and convey information clearly.
  • Desire to serve all guests.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen setting.
